Children's Privacy Notice

KELO SkillRacer is designed for learners of all ages, including children under 13. This notice explains our practices under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws in other countries.
What we collect from children
- Playing as a guest: nothing personal. Progress stays in the browser on the child's device.
- Joining a class: the class code and student code entered by the child, and activity results (which lesson or game, speed, accuracy, score, time). The student's display name is chosen by the teacher, not the child.
- Anonymous statistics: daily totals as described in our Privacy Policy. No IP address or persistent identifier is stored.
We never ask a child for an email address, phone number, home address, photo, birthday, or real name. There is no chat, messaging, or public profile, so children cannot share personal information with others on the site.
Schools and teachers
When a school or teacher uses the classroom features, we act on behalf of the school, and the school may provide consent in place of parents where the law allows, solely for educational purposes. We use classroom data only to show progress to the teacher, never for advertising or any commercial purpose.
Advertising and children
We do not show any advertising on games, lessons, races, the student join page, or any child-directed page, and we never use behavioral advertising. Nothing in the learning experience requires viewing or clicking an ad.
Parents' rights
Parents may ask to review or delete their child's classroom records, and may ask that no further information be collected. Please contact your child's teacher, who can delete the records directly, or email us at privacy@keloskillracer.com. Guest progress can be erased at any time on the Settings page.
Retention
Classroom records are kept only as long as needed for the educational purpose and are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the site administrator, or sooner at the teacher's request.
